The Portrait Now - The Portrait Now was a major international overview of contemporary portraiture held in 1993-4 at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Among many others it included portraits by Frank Auerbach, Francis Bacon, Chuck Close, Jim Dine, Stephen Finer, Lucian Freud, David Hockney, Jeff Koons, Leon Kossoff, Alice Neel, Julian Schnabel and Andy Warhol.
